The young female rider did not leave the horse that was in the mud for three hours.
A mother-daughter horseback ride almost ended in tragedy. The 17-year-old horse Astro was ridden by Nicole Graham, while her daughter rode the smaller colt. Suddenly, on the road, the two horses got stuck in a big mud pit.

Astro was desperately trying to get out of the swamp, but his efforts were only making things worse. The woman was trying to calm the horse down. Meanwhile, her girl named Paris rushed to their car to call for help. The woman did not leave Atsro alone in the mud pit.

When the rescue team arrived at the point, both the woman and the horse were quite agitated and tired. Fortunately, they managed to get the horse out of the mug hole. Before that, the rescuers put the horse to sleep so that it would not suffer. For Graham, who owns ten horses, the accident was terrible.
“It was awful to see the poor animal in such agony and exhaustion,” Nicole told the Geelong Advertiser newspaper. “After every movement, the swamp water pulled us in, it didn’t let us get out.”
Due to the attempts of the rescue crew, which included a vet and a local farmer, the mount was freed . Thank God, Astro was only dehumidified, but not injured.

“It was as if we were fighting against time. Our win was a miracle,” Fire Department Lt. Roger Buckle said. “It was like a quicksand running out of hand.”
Veterinarian Stacy Sullivan praised the horse’s owner, saying that if she hadn’t stayed by the horse’s side, it would have been extremely difficult to save Astro.
