Jamie Pugh walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage carrying an enormous fear with him. A van driver by day and pizza delivery man by night, the Welsh singer admitted that he suffered from severe stage fright and had barely slept for three nights before his audition. His dream was simply to make it through three minutes on stage and, one day, sing in front of a live orchestra at the Royal Variety Performance.
Then Jamie began singing “Bring Him Home” from Les Misérables, and everything changed. Despite visibly shaking with nerves, he delivered a powerful and emotional performance that stunned the judges and the audience. The entire theatre rose to its feet, while Simon Cowell told him that he could be a special talent but needed to start believing in himself.
